Segunda Quimbamba had the pleasure of working with Mr. Michael Clay this year. We very much liked his manner and the pictures he took at the Young Audiences of NJ and Eastern PA Professional Development Meeting where I met him in the spring.
We booked him for our Student Recital this past June. The pictures were beautiful, though what we loved the most was how he presented them to us. He curates them for you. He is a knowledgeable professional in his trade. He guides the process with his creativity. Through discussion, he understood what the company was seeking and was able to communicate that in the photos. He gave us a head start on how they can be used, especially as we learn how to leverage the power of social media.

Whitesbog Preservation
Whitesbog Preservation Trust has worked tirelessly over the past 40 years to uncover and preserve the legacy of Whitesbog Historic Farm & Village, an important New Jersey historic site, agricultural landmark and women’s history mecca in the Pinelands. Our staff and volunteers have been collecting the stories and music of our NJ Pinelands neighbors in oral history interviews and recordings for much of our history.
We reached out to Michael Clay about shooting our oral history interviews for 2023, part of a project funded by the New Jersey Humanities Council. Michael was well prepared with state of the art equipment, was flexible about shooting locations and times and captured both b-roll and interviews as well as drone footage of the location. Michael shot several interviews in a row, putting both our interviewee and interviewer at ease and capturing wonderful moments. He edited the videos using footage from several sources and did so beautifully. We are very happy with the polished and professional look of the interviews. We asked Michael to come back and shoot a complicated on-the road interview with two subjects leading a tour of the area. Michael was able to accommodate our tight schedule, come up with shooting solutions on the fly, and created a seamless interview video using multiple sources and shooting sites.
Our videos were edited flawlessly and so quickly, we were amazed. We have worked with several videographers over the years and this was the best experience we have had. It took much less back and forth to get the result we were hoping for and Michael exceeded our expectations with the resulting videos.
We would highly recommend using Michael Clay’s services!
